Ten Fatal Flaws of NIH Grant Submissions

This seminar will review common mistakes of NIH grant submissions from new
investigators. The presentation will focus on what not to do as well as how to
put forward the best R01 submission. They also address how to respond to
reviewers’ critiques. This is the first seminar in a series developed by the
HISTP and co-sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs and Research.

efficacious interventions to optimize return on prevention investments and
maximize population level prevention impact. It will further explore the
importance of context in planning scale-up strategies.

in Challenges in Behavioral Economics

This lecture presents the theoretical principles and evidence supporting the
use of behavioral economics with specific application to substance abuse
treatment and reduction of HIV transmission behaviors. Attention will be
focused on ways implementation of behavioral economics programs can be
manipulated to produce optimal behavior change.
